IGN’s come out with a preview of SEGA Bass Fishing. Seems like the game does the best job so far of getting fishing right on the Wii.
If there’s one series out there that can break Wii’s curse of crappy fishing games, it’s SEGA Bass Fishing. The game isn’t a looker, as we’re sure you’ve seen in arcades years ago, on Dreamcast, and now on Wii, but its fast-paced gameplay is a sweet blend of arcade-meets-realism, and if there’s one sport out there that could use a kick into high gear, it’s fishing. Sure, the pros can reel in fish in a matter of minutes (one of the reasons bass fishing tournaments even work), but jump out onto a lake for yourself and you’ll find right-quick how tough it can be.
